Optimization of a Wideband Tapped-Delay Line Array Antenna
In this paper, an optimal approach to design wideband tapped-delay line (TDL) array antenna is proposed. This approach lets us control the array angular and frequency response over a wide frequency band. To this end, some design restrictions are defined and a multi-objective optimization problem is constructed by putting the individual restrictions together. The optimal weights of the TDL proce...
متن کاملUltra low frequency noise laser by locking to an optical fiber delay line
We report the frequency stabilization of an erbium-doped fiber distributedfeedback laser using an all-fiber based Michelson interferometer of large arm imbalance. The interferometer uses a 1 km SMF-28 optical fiber spool and an acousto optic modulator allowing heterodyne detection. The frequency noise power spectral density is reduced by more than 40 dB for Fourier frequencies ranging from 1 Hz...
متن کاملA Mathematical Framework for Designing a Low-Loss, Low-Delay Internet
We survey some recent results on modeling, analysis and design of congestion control schemes for the Internet. Using tools from convex optimization and control theory, we show that congestion controllers can be viewed as distributed algorithms for achieving fair resource allocation among competing sources. We illustrate the use of simple mathematical models to analyze the behavior of currently ...
متن کاملdesigning a fast locking pll
a phase-locked loop (pll) based frequency synthesizer is an important circuit that is used in many applications, especially in communication systems such as ethernet receivers, disk drive read/write channels, digital mobile receivers, high-speed memory interfaces, system clock recovery and wireless communication system. other than requiring good signal purity such as low phase noise and low spu...
Low-frequency line temperatures of the CMB
Based on SU(2) Yang-Mills thermodynamics we interprete Aracde2’s and the results of earlier radio-surveys on low-frequency CMB line temperatures as a phase-boundary effect. We explain the excess at low frequencies by evanescent, nonthermal photon fields of the CMB whose intensity is nulled by that of Planck distributed calibrator photons. The CMB baseline temperature thus is identified with the...
